Alice,
I t was so good seeing you and Dick in JayC that day. I am just sorry that was the last time I would hear Dicks voice. I know that he is feeling no more pain and God is playing golf with him in heaven. My heart goes out to you and the rest of the family.

Brad, Kim and family,

Sorry to hear of Dick's passing. He was definitely one of the good old boys and one of the great generation of Americans. Like all the others of his kind, I'm sure he will be sorely missed by all family and friends.
Sincerely
Paul , Lonnie, and Catie

My condolences to the family. I had the pleasure to work with both Dick Kage and Brad Kage at the State Personnel Department. I came to know Dick better when he was with the State Employees' Appeals Commission. He would stop in the State Personnel Department and visit. He was always so kind, cheerful, and always interested in what was going on in your life. A very nice and well-respected man.

My family has been extremely blessed to have had Dick Kage in our lives. He was a kind friend and long time neighbor to my parens, Dean and Betty Pearcy. I would love to watch Dick and my young son at the time, Chas Weber's conversations. Oh how he loved Dick and would wait for him to come to my parents house every day. He has had such a great influence on so many lives. My deepest condolences to the Kage family for this great loss. Thank you for sharing Dick with us.

Alice, Brad, and Vicky,
I want to extend my deepest sympathy to all of you. I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with your family: our trips to the Speedway and all the rain we sat in, the parties after the JCHS basketball games, raking leaves for a couple of hours so that we could spend the rest of the day playing basketball in your backyard, watching IU games and Kentucky games and some of Dick's comments: "Oh ye of little faith", our trip to Purdue on Doc Johnson's airplane and then Dick and Doc Johnson singing "Hail to the Victors" after every Michigan touchdown. So many great memories, Rest in Peace Dick Kage.

Dick Kage was the HRD for my very first hearing at the State Employees’ Appeals Commission in August 1983, and he helped me get through it successfully. Over the years, I had many other hearings involving MSDC and was able to interact with Dick again when he became a SEAC Commissioner. I learned a lot from him and thoroughly enjoyed his stories. He was an amazing man, and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to know him.

We offer our condolences to Alice and the whole family. We enjoyed being Dick's neighbor for the last 5 years. We both spent a lot of time cutting our grass and raking our leaves. Dick kept me on the ball because I felt I should try to make my yard as neat as his, but I never could. My wife and I must go to a calling and attend a funeral at the exact time of Dick's calling and funeral, but we wanted to pay our respects to a good man. God be with you all.
