Timothy B. Brown

Timothy B. Brown, 80, of North Vernon, passed away at 9:10 a.m., on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Mitch Harrell will officiate. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the funeral home.

Born on December 24, 1940, in North Vernon, Timothy was the loving son of Chester and Catherine (Bott) Brown. He was united in marriage to Tami Hillen on June 5, 1965. She survives.

Timothy graduated from New Point High School and then went on to proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962. He retired from Cummins Inc. after 40 years of service. He also worked at St. Anne Golf Course, he loved playing golf. Timothy coached baseball, he umpired, and ran the clock at JCHS from 1976 to 2008 for football and basketball games.

In addition to his wife, Tami Brown of North Vernon, survivors include sons, David (Robin) Brown of Noblesville, Deron (Lori) Brown of Butlerville, and Dusty Brown of Carmel; daughter, Sharon Medlock of North Vernon; grandchildren, Lindsay Johnston, Tod, and Dylan Brown, Hailey Wilson, Reagan, Arianna, Tatum, Aidah, and Kalena Brown; great grandchildren Branson, Cam, and Havyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Catherine Brown; brothers, Bob and David Brown; sister, Suzie Hogan.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the Our Hospice of Jennings County or the Jennings County Athletics.
