Thomas Suding, 65, of North Vernon, passed away at 8:48 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at the AMG Specialty Hospital in Greenfield.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate. There will be no burial at this time, cremation has been chosen. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are entrusted with arrangements.
Born on January 12, 1955, in Connersville, Thomas was the son of Herman “Hank” and Georgianna “Granny” (Rauch) Suding. He was united in marriage to Janice Schwegman on December 2, 1978. She survives.
Thomas known to some as “Tom,” retired in April 2020 from Milestone Contractors. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the K of C Council 1631, and the National Rifle Association. Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors, he was a great outdoorsman. Tom enjoyed touring the Countryside with his faith companions (his dogs.) Most of all Tom loved and cherished his family and all the time spent with them.
In addition to his wife, Janice Suding of North Vernon, survivors include sons, Blake Suding of Bloomington, and Ethan Suding of Noblesville; daughters, Erica (Sam) Metzen of PA, Alexandria “Ally” Suding of Boston, and Victoria “Vicky” Suding of OK; brothers, Bruce (Pam) Suding, Wayne (Joann) Suding, Dallas (Linda) Suding, Brian (Becky) Suding, and Perry (Marj) Suding; sisters, Gloria (Ernie) Hoog, Karen (Bob) Rosemeyer, Mary (Gregg) Nobbe, and Joanne (Don) Russell; sister in law, Janet Suding.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Herman “Hank” and Georgianna “Granny” Suding; brother, Brent Suding.
