Teresa Jane Wilson

Teresa Jane Wilson, 81, of Hayden passed away at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Majestic Care in North Vernon.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Sawyer – Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Larry French will officiate. Burial will be in Hayden Cemetery.Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Born in Seymour on October 22, 1939, Teresa was the daughter of Lawrence and Margaret Lafferty Burgmeier. She married Louis A. Wilson on September 27, 1958. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2019.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, cooking for her family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Andy (Lori) Wilson, Jim (Pam) Wilson, Christine Wilson, Mike Wilson, and Marty Wilson; brothers, Jay (Sharon) Burgmeier, and Joe Burgmeier; sisters, Ellen Burgmeier, Helena (Donny) Miles, Ann (Jack) Williams, and Peg Scroggins; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Rita Luedeman.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Hayden Historical Society, or Our Hospice of Jennings County.
