Sharon K Bowen

Sharon K. Bowen, 77, of North Vernon, passed away peacefully at 11:46 a.m. on Friday, May 08, 2020, at the home of her daughter, with her four daughters at her side.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2020, at Vernon Cemetery. Rev. Gary Yeager will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. prior to the graveside service on Monday, May 11, 2020, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service.

Born on August 22, 1942, in Anderson, Sharon was the daughter of Paul and Charlotte (Killian) Kennedy.

Sharon was a 1960 graduate of Ogden High School in Ogden, Utah. She enjoyed cooking and family time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sharon also enjoyed traveling to visit with her brother Paul and wife Patsy Kennedy in California. She loved spending quality time with sisters, Charlotte McLaughlin and Barbara Kennedy of Portland, Oregon.

Sharon is survived by daughters, Leslie Hall of North Vernon, Stacie (Steve) Boswell of North Vernon, Jamie (Walt) Pedigo of North Vernon, and Carla Marsh (Jeff Spicer) of Commiskey; grandchildren, Nathan Hall of North Vernon, Stevie (Mandi) Boswell, Jason Boswell (Angie) of Butlerville, Brooke (Brad) Creech of Fort Mead, FL, Blake (Brande) Pedigo of Noblesville, Eric Pedigo of Indianapolis, and Taylor (Aaron) Miller of Columbus; Thirteen great grandchildren; sisters, Charlotte McLaughlin of Portland, OR, Barbara Kennedy of Portland, OR, Anita Hower of Oregon, Susan Dean of Utah; sister in-law, Patsy Kennedy of California; Ten nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Charlotte Kennedy; sister, Annette Kennedy; brothers, Paul and Ronnie Kennedy; nephew, Jeff Kennedy; grandson, Duncan Toppe.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County or the American Cancer Society.
