Saundra Sue Aldridge

Saundra Sue Aldridge, 78, of Dupont, passed away at 12:19 a.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation at Dupont Cemetery. Rev. David Brown will officiate.

Born on June 29, 1943, in Seymour, Saundra was the loving daughter of Virgil and Cora (Darkis) Watts. She was united in marriage to Carroll Aldridge on July 7, 1986. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2021.

Saundra graduated in 1961 from Medora High School in Jackson County. She was a member of the New Freedom Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 134 in Seymour. She had worked at Cummins. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Saundra is survived by sons, N. Randall (Jeannine) Tatom of Columbus, OH, and George V. (Elisabeth) Tatom of Seymour; daughter, Lisa P. (Randy) Hall of North Vernon; stepdaughter, Karen Lynn Aldridge; grandchildren, Nicole Tatom, Brittany Tatom, Joshua Tatom, Jessica Apsley, Jerrica (Tom) McDonald, Kolby Tatom, and Kolton Tatom; eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Cora Watts; husband, Carroll Aldridge.

Memorial donations can be made through the funeral home to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
