Marjorie Marcum, 79, of Deputy, passed away at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at her residence.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Greenfield at a later date.
Born February 4, 1939, in Dupont, Marjorie was the daughter of Raymond and Virginia Holwager Covington. She married Raymond Marcum on January 31, 1980 and he preceded her in death on July 11, 1986.
She was a member of Coffee Creek Christian Church and Yakity Yak Card Club. Marjorie and her husband had previously owned their own swimming pool installation business.
Marjorie is survived by three sisters, Velma Marling of North Vernon, Mary Peters of Deputy and Joan Ehman of Albany, KY; a granddaughter, Michelle (Floyd) Lovell of Deputy; three great-granddaughters; one great-great-granddaughter and two great-great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Virginia Covington; her husband, Raymond Marcum; a son, Rick Gevedon; and a brother, Roy Covington.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
