Marilyn Taylor, 92, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at home surrounded by her loved ones.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. James Shuck will be officiating. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
Born on February 28, 1928, in Jennings County, Marilyn was the loving daughter of Joseph and Cecil May (Ricketts) Stearns. She is survived by her husband, Robert Taylor, of 60 years.
Marilyn was the founding member of the Ladies Card Club in North Vernon over 50 years ago. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, bowling, dancing, traveling, baking, and cooking. Most of all Marilyn loved and cherished spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Robert Taylor of North Vernon, survivors include daughter, Konnie Sweat of Macclenny, FL; son, Ronald A. (Valerie) Euler of North Vernon; sisters, Barbara Beavers of Columbus, and Donna Hammond of Otisco; grandchildren, Holly Higginbotham, Billy Clarkson, Heather Glasgow, Leah Euler – Jones, Lori Euler – Mull; eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Cecil Stearns; first husband, Frank Euler; daughter, Pamela Sue; son, David Joe; brother, Jack Stearns; sisters, Joann “Jody” Amick, Karen Sue Huerson.
