Leslie Sharer Obituary

Leslie Sharer, 60, of Paris Crossing, passed away at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2020, in Seymour, at the home of relatives.

Services will be held at a later date. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service was entrusted with the arrangements.

Born July 8, 1959, in Seymour, Leslie was the daughter of Ace Sandlin and Nancy (Pitzer) Skinner. She was united in marriage to Mark Sharer on December 13, 1997. He survives.

After graduating high school, Leslie then went on to graduate from the Indiana University. She was a Law Secretary and helped her husband in the floor covering business. Leslie was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed arts and crafts, such as: painting and drawing, especially painting gourds and wood. Leslie was blessed with an amazing family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Mark Sharer of Paris Crossing, survivors include stepson, David Lakins of Vincennes; grandson, Trey Smith; sister, Lisa (Roger) Kent of Macomb, IL; brothers and sister in-law, Chris Sharer and Steve Sharer both of Seymour, and Lori Sharer of Queenstown, MD.

Leslie was preceded in death by her parents, Ace Sandlin and Nancy Skinner; son, Daniel Smith; and brother, Jamie Taylor.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
