Charles F. Treadway III, 73, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2020, at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2020, at Vernon Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Hauersperger will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the graveside on Friday, August 21, 2020, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service.
Born November 16, 1946, in Seymour, Charles was the son of Charles F. Jr. and Betty (Loudermilk) Treadway.
Charles graduated from Brownstown Central High School in 1965. He served his country in the Army from May 23, 1966 till his Honorable Discharge on April 27, 1968, rising to the rank Spec 4 during the Vietnam War. Charles began his welding career with Cummins on September 29, 1965. He retired after 34 ½ years from Cummins on April 1, 2000. Charles enjoyed going to the boat in Lawrenceburg, watching Nascar, and eating at Cracker Barrel.
He is survived by daughter, Heather Treadway of Kearny, AZ; sister, Tonia Gard of Brownstown; grandchildren, Anna (Jeremy) Holyoak of Kearny, AZ, Nicholas Treadway of Seymour, and Ariel Treadway of AL.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles F. Jr. and Betty Treadway; son, Timothy Treadway.
