Bonnie Caraway

Bonnie Caraway, 76, of North Vernon, passed away at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at home surrounded by loved ones.

There will be a visitation held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. A memorial mass will be held at a later date. We would like to remind the public of the CDC guidelines to please limit the number of people in the funeral home to only 10 people at a time and to be mindful of the 6 ft. social distancing.

Born on January 27, 1944, in Bedford, Bonnie was the daughter of Robert and Catherine (Hall) Terry. She was united in marriage on April 27, 1961 to Paul Caraway. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2016.

Bonnie worked at Walmart as a cashier and was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed karaoke, knitting, crocheting, and coloring. Bonnie loved her dog, Whiskey.

She is survived by son, Christopher Caraway of Hiram, GA; daughters, Dianna (Rex) Miller of North Vernon, and Jennifer White of North Vernon; brothers, Michael Terry of Ferdinand, and Robert Terry II of Silverville; grandchildren, Amanda Acton, Justin Miller, Michael Miller, Santana Ross, Cheyenne Kidwell, and Taylor Caraway; eight great grandchildren.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Catherine Terry; husband, Paul Caraway; brother, Jerry Terry.
