Mr. Willie S. Leveridge

November 29, 1952 - August 17, 2008

Willie "Sammy" Samuel Leveridge, 55 of North Vernon passed away at 12:35 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Jennings Health Care Center in North Vernon.

Born November 29, 1952 in Albany, KY, he was the son of James Bruce and Ida Mae Riddle Leveridge.

Mr. Leveridge had attended the North Vernon First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the North Vernon Eagles and AMVETS. He had been employed with Hinshaw Roofing from 1970 to 1978.

Willie is survived by his daughter Sherry (Rob) Beal of North Vernon, a son, Stace Leveridge of Commiskey, a brother, Tim (Glenda) Leveridge of Burkesville, KY, six sisters, Linda (Bernard) Krantz of Cottontown, TN, Charlotte (Larry) Short of Commiskey, Brenda (Ray) Hughes of Lovett, Patricia (Danny) Short, Paris Crossing, Susan (Larry) Harmon of North Vernon, and Leta (Mark) Green of Commiskey, and two grandchildren, Robbie and Naomi Beal of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Daryl Leveridge.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home on August 20, 2008 at 10 AM with Rev. Bob Weeks officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday and from 9 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday. Military Honors will be provided by the North Vernon Veterans of Foreign Wars.
