Mr. William R. Stacks

April 20, 1958 - February 22, 2012

William R. Stacks, 53, of North Vernon passed away at 1:05 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Jennings Healthcare Center.

Born April 20, 1958 in Sacramento, CA, William was the son of Richard and Virginia Wellman Stacks. He married Risa Hickey July 25, 1981.

William attended Walker State Technical College in Alabama. He worked for Kroger Foods before retiring. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed going to movies, and eating out at various restaurants.

Mr. Stacks is survived by his wife, Risa Stacks of North Vernon; mother, Virginia Gay Wilson of Noblesville; brother, Thomas (Florence) Perkins of North Vernon; sisters Carol Wells of Russell Springs, KY, Sue Fugate and, Cindy Lawson of Noblesville.

He was preceded in death by his father, a daughter, Heather Ann Hickey, and one sister, Marty Kay Stacks.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Ricky Persons will officiate. There will be a gathering of friends and relatives from 11:00 AM until the time of the service
