William M. Large, 69, of North Vernon, died on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, in Bartholomew County.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2019, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Lonny Goen will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Born October 30, 1949, in Zenas, William was the son of Willie and Catherine (Armbruster) Large. He married Carol Ann Meadows and she preceded him in death on March 12, 2006.

William graduated from North Vernon High School. He began working at Dorel and retired from there after 48 years. William liked watching westerns, doing yard work, watching birds, watching wrestling, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He dearly loved his dog, Copper, as well.

William is survived by his daughters, Amanda (Roger) Large Cornell and Cassandra (Jason Zabecki) Large all of North Vernon; son, Micheal (Amber) Large of North Vernon; sisters, Nancy Montgomery and Linda Giddens both of North Vernon, Carol Woolf of Butlerville; grandchildren, Daniel Cornell, Ryan Cornell, and Gabreal Large.

William was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol Ann Large; daughter, Angel Large; sister, Mary June Womack; brother, Robert Large; and grandchild, Skylar Zabecki.
