Mr. William W. Kennedy

William W. Kennedy, 83 of Commiskey passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born on May 3, 1927 in Rich Hill, Missouri, William was the son of the late Will & Nellie Burgiss Kennedy. He married Goldie Callahan on January 22, 1955 and she preceded him in death on October 4, 2003.

Mr. Kennedy had worked as a truck driver for COSCO for 22 years. He enjoyed visiting with friends at McDonalds and going to casinos.

He is survived by a son, Ernest Kennedy of North Vernon; a daughter, Billy Taylor of North Vernon; a sister, Martha Davis of California, three grandchildren, Kris Taylor of North Vernon, Brandon Kennedy of Clear Springs, and Kari Taylor of Oscado, Michigan, and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 28th, 2010 at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home in North Vernon. Visitation will on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and from noon until the time of the service on Monday. Burial will be at the Vernon Cemetery.
