William I. Dillon, 78, of Seymour, passed away at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2016, at Premier Healthcare of North Vernon.

Born March 7, 1938, Mr. Dillon was the son of Claude and Lelia (Wethington) Dillon. He married Margaret Shrode and she preceded him in death on March 19, 2002.

William had worked as an auto mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include six daughters, Candy Bowman of Lebanon, Tammy Jones of North Vernon, Sherry Brewer of Plainfield, Alicia Dillon of Greenfield, Tammy Stevens of Indianapolis and Lela Neely of Oklahoma; six brothers, Virgil Sr., Daniel, Claude Jr., David, Albert and Haren Dillon; two sisters, Virginia Roy and Norma Jean Dunn; 13 grandchildren, William Dillon, Toby Jones, Jacob Cramer, Alicia Jones, Jordan Reagan, Tre Forester, Cheyenne Brewer, Zachary Brewer, Morgan Dillon, Chris Simmons, Michael, Nicholas and Austin Curtis; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Margaret.

There will be no services. Arrangements were entrusted to Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service.
