Mr. William P. "Billy" Byron

December 26, 1935 - July 24, 2015

William P. "Billy" Byron, 79, of North Vernon passed away at 7:09 PM Friday, July 24, 2015, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Born December 26, 1935, in Indianapolis, Billy was the son of Paul and Helen McCauley Byron.

He worked for forty-one years at Developmental Services Inc. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the North Vernon Moose Lodge. He was known for his love of people. He never forgot the name of a person he met, and always had a kind word for each one.

He is survived by his brother, Daniel P. (Lynne) Byron of Carmel; his sister, Kathleen (Richard) Stadler of Carmel; nieces & nephews, Michael (Laura) Byron, Craig (Ellen) Byron, Mary Carol (Michael) Arazan, Christopher (Rebecca) Stadler, John Paul Stadler, and David (Krista) Stadler.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 6:00 PM Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon. Rev. Michael O'Mara will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Rosary service will be conducted at 12:30 PM Wednesday at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. A Moose Service will be held at 4:30 PM, and visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 5:30 PM at the funeral home.
