Wanda K. Dewar, 78, North Vernon, passed way at 1:38 a.m., on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Dezmien Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025 and again from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service on Tuesday.

Born on October 20, 1946, in Martinsville, Wanda was the loving daughter of the late William A. and Lora Jane (Lucas) Baldwin. She was united in marriage on September 3, 1966 to Daniel Dewar. He preceded her in death on February 12, 2003.

Wanda was a graduate of the Columbus North High School. She went on to further her education graduating from nursing school. She retired after 41 years as a LPN with the Columbus Regional Hospital. Wanda was a foster grandparent for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Butlerville. In her free time, Wanda enjoyed sewing, traveling, shopping, doing word searches and puzzles. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends.

Wanda is survived by her son, David G. Dewar of Commiskey; daughter, Lori K. Ratcliff of North Vernon; sister, Nancy Copley of North Vernon; grandchildren, Bryan Dewar, Jessica Davis, Dylan Dewar, Emily Dewar, Joshua Ratcliff, and Kessa Krueger; great grandchildren, Cameron, Kara, Isabelle, Leo, Owen, Mookky, Cerissa, Audrey, John, Tristan, and Thaison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Shirley Graham; brothers, Kenneth A. Baldwin, and Warren D. "Yogi" Baldwin.
