Mrs. Virginia W. Yux

February 26, 1928 - April 28, 2010

Virginia W.Yux, 82, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Jennings Health Care in North Vernon.

Mrs. Yux was born on February 26, 1928 in North Vernon, IN. She was the daughter of the late Harrison and Amanda Kelly. She later married Albert Yux. He survives.

Virginia had worked and retired from Arvins. She was a member of the St. Mary's Church in North Vernon. She enjoyed bingo.

She is survived by her husband, a son, David W. (Sheila) Yux of North Vernon; four daughters, Sherri (Roger) Lucas, Susie (Gerald) Claire, Mary (Bobby) Magner all of North Vernon and Ann (Jack) Mock of Virginia; a sister, Barbara Wilson of North Vernon and eleven grandchildren, Jason and Shawn Johnston, Amanda Phillips, Amy Thompson, Erin Yux, Jennifer Claire, Nicole Gindhart, Gary Claire, Kelly Rigney, Adrian Magner, and Cody Sullivan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and a grandson, Cory Sullivan.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon, on Monday, May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jonathan Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday with a Rosary at 8:00 p.m. at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
