Mrs. Verona E. Traylor

June 25, 1924 - February 22, 2013

Verona E. Traylor, 88, of North Vernon passed away at 2:53 PM Friday, February 22, 2013 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born June 25, 1924 in Lawrence County, Verona was the daughter of Ira & Lottie Terrell East. She married Arnold Walls Traylor June 26, 1965. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2011.

Verona was a member of First Baptist Church. She spent her career teaching. She loved her job, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Mrs. Traylor is survived by brothers, Joe (Diane) East, and Paul (Sandy) East of Columbus; sisters, Velma Goen of Bedford and Clarice Abner of Leesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Leonis East.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11:00 AM at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Bob Weeks officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
