Mr. Tyler F. Butler

March 19, 1987 - April 28, 2011

Tyler F. Butler, 24, of North Vernon passed away at 12:08 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Dearborn County Hospital.

Born in Columbus, IN on March 19, 1987, Mr. Butler was the son of Rodney & Lisa Leach Butler.

Tyler attended St. Mary's School and graduated from Jennings County High School in 2005. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Tyler was an avid Colts fan and enjoyed his dogs, working out and family get togethers. Mr. Butler volunteered with St. Vincent DePaul and spent an hour every week at the Adoration Chapel at St. Mary's Church. His family will always remember him as a very loving, caring and giving person.

Mr. Butler is survived by his mother, Lisa Butler of North Vernon; a sister, Kayla Butler of North Vernon; a brother, Zachary Butler of Ft. Meyers, FL; his grandmother, Sammie "Mimi" Amick of Muncie and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Butler.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Jonathan Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Monday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Services and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. A Rosary Service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
