Mr. Troy V. Sapp

December 13, 1962 - September 23, 2015

Troy V. Sapp, 52, of North Vernon, passed away at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at his residence.

Born December 13, 1962, in Hamilton, OH, Troy was the son of John and Mary Jane (Ogg) Sapp. He graduated from Pendleton High School in 1981.

Troy was employed by Cummins, Inc., where he was a machine operator, a.k.a. "Booster of Morale." He was a member of the Diesel Workers Union, he was a certified auctioneer, and previously owned and operated Recollections and Collections in New Castle. He was an avid chess player, and competed in the National Chess Competition. He enjoyed making people laugh, antiques and outdoor activities.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Jane of Ohio; brother, Eric Sapp of Ohio; friends and caregivers, Amy and Ross Shaffer of North Vernon; and his work family at Cummins, Inc.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service.
