Theresa E. Toepfert, 72, of North Vernon, passed away at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at home.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021, a Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Frank McGee will officiate. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. till the time of the service.

Born on November 26, 1948, in Cincinnati, OH, Theresa was the loving daughter of William and Ruby (Carter) Metcalf. She was united in marriage to Ronal Toepfert on August 8, 1966. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2003.

Theresa had worked previously at C.E.W. , Ponderosa, and Componex. She was also a Homemaker for many years. She enjoyed crafting and reading. Most of all, Theresa cherished spending time with her family.

Theresa is survived by, sons, Michael Toepfert of North Vernon, James Toepfert of North Vernon, and Ronal "Tony" Toepfert of North Vernon; grandchildren, William and Carrie Toepfert, Jessica, Payton, Donna, and Olivia Toepfert.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruby Metcalf; husband, Ronal Toepfert; grandson, Ronnie Toepfert.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the Geneva Township Fire Department.
