Thelma Agnes Walker

July 25, 1913 - July 20, 2010

Thelma Agnes Colbert Walker, 96, of North Vernon passed away Monday, July 20, 2010 at the Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Born July 25, 1913, in Jennings County she was the daughter of Fred and Mary E. Sanders Colbert. She married William Walker. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Corinthian Baptist church and the Order of Eastern Star. She was employed by the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center as an Occupational Therapist. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and arts and crafts.

Mrs. Walker is survived by her son, Roger C. (RuthAnn) Good Jr. of Fort Wayne and two daughters Isalean Johnson of Kokomo, MaryAnn White of Fort Wayne, 20 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Marion Edward Good; daughter, Patricia Greene; brothers, Logan, William, Roger and Fred Colbert, Alfred Morris and Otto Easton; sisters, Jewell Colbert, Mary Burris, Sally Colbert and Annabelle Johnson.

Arrangements were made in care of Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home with Rev. Tavis officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service. An Eastern Star service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in North Vernon.
