Thelma Ruth Ryan, 70, of North Vernon, passed away on February 8, 2022, at home.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at St. Mary's Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate.

Born on April 20, 1951, in Columbus, Thelma was the loving daughter of Joseph and Lelia (Lyle) Muir. She was united in marriage to Robert Ryan on September 27, 1980. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2014.

Thelma had worked for Cummins as a Computer Programmer until she retired. She enjoyed gardening, Flying, and studying genealogy. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Thelma is survived by sons, Charles and James Ryan both of North Vernon; one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lelia Muir; husband, Robert Ryan.
