Thelma Louise Maschino, 83, of North Vernon, passed away Friday, November 04, 2011, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Born September 30, 1928, in Jennings County, Mrs. Maschino was the daughter of Virgil and Mary Dart Johnson. On May 7, 1949, she married LeRoy W. Maschino, who preceded her in death on March 10, 2002.
Mrs. Maschino was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Four Corners. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Rosary Society and Winding Waters Quilt Club. She enjoyed quilting, pie baking, gardening and spending time with family.
Thelma is survived by 11 children, Jane (Greg) Meyer of Columbus, Janet Maschino, Eddie (Kathie) Maschino, Tom (Wanda) Maschino, Bill (Kathy) Maschino, Jim (Natalie) Maschino, Larry Maschino, Dennis Maschino, Kenny (Victoria) Maschino, Lester (Lorie) Maschino, and Robert (Jenifer) Maschino, all of North Vernon; 27 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Other survivors include 3 sisters, Ruth Holley, Kathryn Robbins and Bettie Wright of Jennings County.
Mrs. Maschino was preceded in death by her parents, infant sons Joseph and Phillip, brother Earl Johnson, 2 grandchildren, and daughter in law, Regina Maschino.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Monday, November 7, 2011, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Four Corners, with Rev. Jonathan Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. A rosary service will be held at the funeral home at 3:30 pm on Sunday. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
