Mr. Terry W. Jarvis

October 25, 1953 - October 04, 2010

Terry Wayne Jarvis, 56, of North Vernon, passed away after a long illness on Monday, October 4, 2010 at his residence.

Terry worked for Swifty Oil. He was a coach and umpire for Jennings County and an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. He will be greatly remembered for his love of sports and the time and effort that he gave to his children and grandchildren.

Born October 25, 1953, in Richmond, he was the son of the late Wendell and Lillie Mae Jarvis. He married Mary Ann Doyle on November 22, 1975.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Terry Jarvis Jr. (Leeanne), Jeff Jarvis (Sarah), Adam and Anthony Jarvis; ten grandchildren, Ethan, Darian, Lillian, Landon, Morgan, Maisie and Logan Jarvis, Cameron and Laynee Davidson and Gavin Gunn, one brother, Larry Jarvis (Brenda), and a sister, Teresa Lee (Ken) and an uncle that raised him, RB McCollum.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his grandmother, Sophie McCollum.

Funeral Information

Funeral service will be Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home in North Vernon. Rev. Don Morris will be officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at the Vernon Cemetery.
