Ted Shoultz, 70, of North Vernon passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at St. Vincent – Jennings Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.

Born September 10, 1949, in Shelbyville, Ted was the son of Leslie and Alma (Beall) Shoultz. He was united in marriage to Rhonda McGovern in 1998. She preceded him in death in 2014.

Ted was a Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed being with his family. He also enjoyed playing softball in his earlier years.

Ted is survived by son, Whitey Shoultz of North Vernon; daughter, Lori Shoultz of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Tevin, Makaili, Cammi, and Sidney Shoultz; sister, Sylvia Burke of North Vernon; stepdaughters, Jami, Courtney, and Morgan McGovern all of Columbus; three step grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Alma Shoultz; wife, Rhonda Shoultz; sisters, Alta "Boots" Castetter, and Donnia Watson.
