Sylvester H. Kreutzjans

February 28, 1923 - June 23, 2009

Sylvester H. Kreutzjans, 86 of North Vernon passed away at 5:37 AM on Tuesday morning, June 23, 2009 at Jennings Healthcare Care Center.

Born on February 28, 1923, Sylvester was the son of the late Joseph H. and Margaret S. Gasper Kreutzjans.

Mr. Kreutzjans had been a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. He was a life long farmer in Jennings County and enjoyed square dancing, playing checkers and softball.

He is survived by four brothers, Joseph, George (Mary), Aloysius (Marie), and Edward (Sandra) Kreutzjans all of North Vernon, and a sister, Marcella Magateaux of Union City, Indiana.

Those that preceded him in death included his parents, a brother, Richard Kreutzjans, and two sisters, Mildred Kreutzjans and Anna Walters.

Funeral Information

A mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne's Catholic Church with Father Jonathan Meyer officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 to 8 PM with a Rosary service at 7:30 at the Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home in North Vernon. Interment will be at St. Anne's Cemetery.
