Mrs. Sue Gilbert

November 19, 1939 - January 23, 2014

Sue Carol Gilbert, 74, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:10 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at her home.

Born November 19, 1939, in Seymour, Sue was the daughter of the late William and Ruth Proctor Taylor. She graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1958. On August 2, 1958, she married Rex Gilbert. He survives.

Mrs. Gilbert worked for Hewitt Soap for two years, before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Rex, Mrs. Gilbert is survived by two sons, Mark (Jennifer) Gilbert of Westfield, IN, and Darren Wayne Gilbert of North Vernon; two sisters, Edna Jane Marr of Jeffersonville and Lisa Gayle Siebert of Nabb; and a brother, James Edward Taylor of Freetown.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Information

There will be a private graveside service. Rev. Kevin Ritter will officiate.
