Mr. Stephen R. Davis Sr.

May 29, 1966 - September 09, 2012

Stephen Ray "Tex" Davis Sr., 46 of Freetown, entered eternal life at 6:15 PM on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born May 29, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri, Stephen was the son of the late William and Mildred Curtain Davis.

Stephen was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts fan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He worked as a construction worker for 26 years. He was in business for 7 years as S&G Framing with his partner Greg Richards. He was Metallica's #1 fan.

He met Bobbi Sue Skees on July 29, 1998 in Texas. She survives. Together, Stephen and Bobbi had a son, now 12 years old, Stephen Ray Davis Jr. He is also survived by two daughters, Amanda (Matt) Harmon and Christine (Pou) Dover, four grandchildren, Devon and Alexis Harmon, Izaiha Cox, and Cailyn Dover. He has another grandson due to arrive in November. Other survivors include a brother, Barry (Karen) Davis, a sister, Connie (Gary) Esbeck, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William Davis, and a granddaughter, Alliyah Lynn Cox.

He will be greatly missed by several friends in Texas, Indiana, and Missouri.

Funeral Information

A celebration of Stephen's life will be held at his daughter's house on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 2:00 until 8:00 PM at 416 Bloomington Road in Brownstown.
