Stanley Ray Clarkson, 66, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:24 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Center in Columbus.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the start of the service.

Born October 25, 1953, in Seymour, Stanley was the son of Francis and Virginia (Olmstead) Clarkson.

Stanley worked for Columbus Industrial Electric until his retirement in 2015. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, bingo, NASCAR, and Football.

Stanley is survived by daughters, Heather Clarkson of Columbus, Samantha Clarkson of Indianapolis, Maria Lopez of North Vernon, and Janelle (Steve) Fields of Westport; son, John (Megan) Clarkson of Bargersville; sisters, Neysa Cumberworth of North Vernon, and Colleen Gatewood of Westport; grandchildren, Cheyenne Clarkson, Brayden Lucas, Arlo Clarkson, Memphis Nolan, Adarius Nolan, Ellyana Reeves, Everett Clarkson, Demarcus Nolan, Robert Grissom, Eliza Lucas, and Madilyn Lopez.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Virginia Clarkson; sister, Belinda Clarkson.
