Shirley J. Christy, 76, of North Vernon, passed away at 3:20 am on August 1, 2011, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born July 2, 1935, in Indianapolis, Shirley was the daughter of Frank W. Pickard and Myrtle M. Thomson Cox. She married Robert Christy on December 31, 1977. He survives.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Christy is survived by daughter Lynn Deye, son, Randy Thomson of Indianapolis, grandson Brian Deye and granddaughter Susan VanCleave of TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
