Mrs. Shiela Roberts

November 15, 1941 - May 20, 2015

Shiela Roberts, 73, of Scipio, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at her residence.

Born November 15, 1941, in Seymour, Shiela was the daughter of Edwin and Josephine (Pollert) Allfeis. She graduated from Brownstown High School in 1960. On September 1, 1962, she married James Roberts. He survives.

She worked at Seymour Telephone Company from 1960 until 1964, and then at Cummins, Inc., from 1971 until 2001. She was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, flowers, animals and mowing.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; daughter, Angie (Tony) Porter of Scipio; sister, Ruth Ann (Don) Spray of Brownstown; and grandchildren, Ross and Ashley Porter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Gregory Roberts.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in North Vernon. Vicar Adrian Krebs and Rev. Philip Bloch will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2015, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
