Mrs. Sherryl Wheeler

Sherryl "Sherry" Susan Wheeler, 56, of North Vernon, passed away at 4:56 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Born, September 5, 1956 in Tell City, Sherry was the daughter of the late Robert and Belva Anthony Sabelhaus. She later married Daniel Wheeler on February 10, 1974. Until the close of the Muscatatuck Developmental Center, Sherry had been a dietary supervisor.
Mrs. Wheeler had been a member at St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon and was also a member of the Moose Lodge, AMVETS, Eagles, and VFW Post 2021. In the past, Sherry had enjoyed fishing and golfing, but recently, she spent all of her time with her pride and joy, her grandchildren.
Survivors include, her husband, Daniel Wheeler of North Vernon, a son, Daniel (Jayna) Wheeler of Columbus, a daughter, Karen (Tom) Frazer of Kentucky, seven grandchildren, and six brothers and sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon with Rev. Jonathan Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
