Mrs. Shelby Jean Pike

July 22, 1941 - November 21, 2008

Shelby Jean Pike, 67 of North Vernon passed away at 3:15 PM on Friday, November 21, 2008 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.

Born July 22, 1941 in Dupont, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Geneva Richardson Roe.

Mrs. Pike had retired from the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. She loved cats, reading, and playing bingo. She will be remembered as a quiet, simple person.

She is survived by a son, Scott Pike of Martinsburg, WV, three brothers, Herbert Roe of North Vernon, Harold Roe of Columbus, and Michael Roe of North Vernon, two sisters, Margaret Bruce of Westport and Wilma Anderson of Scipio, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pike was preceded in death by her parents, a son, James William Pike, and two brothers, James Thomas Roe and Donald Roe.

Funeral Information

A private visitation will be held at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home. Inurnment is planned for a later date at Vernon Cemetery.
