Sharon Lucille South, 80, of North Vernon passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at her home.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Sawyer – Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

Born on August 24, 1944, in Columbus, Sharon was the daughter of James and Opal Misner Campfield.

Sharon retired from Muscatatuck State Developmental Center where she worked as a Developmental Service Tech. She dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise South of North Vernon; son, Troy (Andi) South of North Vernon; sisters, Kathy Emily of FL, and Vivian Franks of Seymour; grandchildren, Jake & Kylie Johnson, Brandon, Gavin, Tieler, Kaleb, Nick, and Alexis South, and Josh Smith; eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ronnie and Richard Campfield.

Memorials may be made in Sharon's memory to the donor's choice of charity.
