October 8, 1939 – April 25, 2022
Sharon Gail Daugherty, 82, of Nebraska, went home to be with our Lord and Savior at 6:50 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022, surrounded by all her children and family. She was ready and took the Lord's hand to lead the way. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Mitch Harrell will officiate. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home. Born on October 8,1939, Sharon was the loving daughter of Jerome and Mabel (Taylor) Allee. Sharon was a member of Otter Creek Baptist Church. She loved playing the piano. Sharon had worked at the Indiana Bell Telephone Company previously and had retired from Muscatatuck State Hospital. She also sold Avon for over 30 years and wrote the Nebraska News items for the Newspaper. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and her hummingbirds. Most of all Sharon cherished spending time with her loving family. She will be sadly missed by many especially her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Survivors include children, Gregg (Nancy) Daugherty of Westport, Lori (Brian) Schroeder of Paris Crossing, Gerry (Dot) Daugherty of North Vernon, and Grant (Terra) Daugherty of Nebraska; grandchildren, Gage (Jazz) Brennen, Gus Daugherty, Amanda (Nick) Graham, Briana (Kurt) Graham, Brian (Leslie) Schroeder, Bryce (Lauren) Daugherty, Perry, Jack, and Izzy Daugherty, Tessa (Blake Walker) Burgmeier, Tyler (Whitney Eckert) Burgmeier; great grandchildren, Bentley and Parker Daugherty, John Patterson, Matthew Comer, Urijah and Layla Graham, Chloee, Blain, and Dakota Burgmeier, Hunter Fitzpatrick, Konnor and Cade Burgmeier, Aleia Walker, Liam Schroeder; sister, Doris Hillenburg; sister in law, Judy Allee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rome and Mabel Allee; brothers, Kenneth, and David Allee; sister, Joyce Hand; grandson, Jacob Ray Daugherty. Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the Donor's Choice of Charity.
