Mr. Scott E. Lucas

Scott E. Lucas, 36, of North Vernon passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Friday, February 1, 2013 in Jennings County.

Born October 5, 1976 in Columbus, Scott was the son of Paul & Phyllis Brewer Lucas.
He graduated from Jennings County High School in 1995 and IVY Tech in 2004 with a degree in Nursing. He had worked at Kroger Foods, Columbus Regional Hospital, drove a school bus, and was currently employed at Republic Airlines.

He loved traveling and flying.

Mr. Lucas is survived by his mother, Phyllis Lucas of North Vernon; brother, Jeff Lucas of North Vernon; grandmother, Mary Brewer of Scipio; adopted grandfather, Jerry Smith of North Vernon; one nephew, Bret Bradley; nieces, Megan Lucas, Chelsie Sharp, Brittany and Jordan Champion; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul E. Lucas; grandparents, Charles Brewer, and Perry and Alta Lucas.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday February 5, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Delbert Riddle will officiate. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
