Obituary

Sandra G. Fish, age 72, of Commiskey, Indiana, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at her residence. Born on January 14, 1953, in Scottsburg, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of the late Lester and Dorothy Kanatzarn Boardman. She married Michael Fish on April 6, 2002. He preceded her in death on February 29, 2012.

Sandra graduated from Jennings County High School in 1971 and went on to forge a successful career working in logistics at Walmart Distribution where she retired.

Sandra was known for her strong work ethic and dedication to her family. She also held previous positions at Regal Rugs, further showcasing her commitment to her professional endeavors. A true patriot, Sandra cherished her country and reveled in her freedom, showing immense pride in being an American.

In her leisure time, she found joy in visiting Las Vegas, visiting with her friends in the Red Hat Society, tending to her yard, and mowing the grass, where she often felt most at peace.

Her legacy will be carried on by her loving family, including her sons, Chad Creech (Donna) and Jeremy Hall (Melissa Britton); her sister, Teresa (Marvin) Deputy; her brother, Rodney (Marcia) Boardman; her grandchildren, Chrishana (Adam) Towne, Macy (Nick) Neal, Donavan (Autumn) Creech, and William Robert Hall; and two great-grandchildren.

No service is planned at this time. Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with her arrangements.

Sandra G. Fish will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her spirit will live on through the love she shared and the presence she had in the lives of those who knew her.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Fish, and parents, Lester and Dorothy Boardman.
