Mr. Ronnie Lee Campfield

Ronnie Lee Campfield, 68 of Greenwood, IN passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at his residence.

Born August 18, 1940 in Jennings County, Ronnie was the son of the late James Michael and Opal Lucille Meisner Campfield.

Mr. Campfield had been employed for the last three years with the Horizon House. Previous to that he worked for the Civil Rights Commission for 25 years and spent 20 years as an apartment supervisor. He enjoyed bowling and antiques.

Ronnie is survived by a son, Ronald Crouch of Columbus, a daughter, Renee Crouch of Texas and two adopted daughters, Trella Whitlock of Franklin and Brenda Cook of Greenwood, three sisters, Vivian Franks of Seymour, Sharon South of North Vernon, and Kathy Emily of West Palm Beach, FL, five grandchildren, Makaylah, Billy, Michael, Justin, and Kristin, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Richard Campfield, a sister-in-law, Shirley Campfield, and a brother-in-law, Steven Emily.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, January 9, 2009 at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home in North Vernon. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home and on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be at the Bear Creek Cemetery.
