Mr. Ronald "The Milkman" H. Castetter

Ronald "The Milkman" H. Castetter, 70, of North Vernon passed away at 12:20 am on Friday, December 4, 2009 at his home.

Born July 25, 1939 in North Vernon, he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth Harmon Castetter. He graduated from North Vernon High School in 1957 and later married Judy Gahimer on June 8, 1962.

Mr. Castetter worked at Prairie Farms Dairy for 37 years and retired in 2001. He loved spending time with the family. He enjoyed watching IU basketball and the Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed playing basketball. He was a member of First Christian Church in North Vernon.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Janet (Jim) Kreutzjans, Julie (Mike) Green; six grandchildren, Aaron, Austin & Ali Kreutzjans, Adam, Andrew & Lauren Green ; and a sister, Judy (Don) Malcomb all of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death his parents.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 7, 2009 at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Bridgewater and Connie Barr officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
