Mr. Ronald L. Hatton

Ronald Lee Hatton, 68 of Scipio passed away at 4:40 AM on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born on February 2, 1941 in Vevay, Ronald was the son of Gerald and Faye Sullivan Hatton. He later married Patricia Porter in July of 1982. She survives.

Mr. Hatton retired from Cummins Engine Company after thirty years of employment. He enjoyed horses, animals, riding his ATV's and horses, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother, Faye Lewis of Vevay, wife Patricia, two sons, Patrick ( Kelly) Hatton of Columbus and James "JB" Hatton of North Vernon, a step-daughter, Lujean Bannister of Cortland, eight grandchildren, Bryce, Hannah, Brooke, Steven, and Matthew Hatton, Kelsey Smith, Amanda Jones, and Lynn Bannister, and a great-grandson, Johnathyn Lewis.

Mr. Hatton was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral Information

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Vevay Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Sunday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home.
