Roger Evans, 64, of North Vernon, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at home.

There are no service plans at this time. Cremation was chosen. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are in charge of the arrangements.

Born on January 31, 1956, in Havana, IL, Roger was the loving son of Francis and Margaret (Johnson) Evans. He was united in marriage to Sherry Austin on March 21, 1976. She preceded him in death on September 3, 2010.

Roger served his country proudly in the Navy after High School. He had been a truck driver for many years until becoming disabled. Roger was a member of the AmVets, Eagles, and the Moose Lodge in North Vernon.

Roger is survived by sister, Marcia Brownfield of Havana, IL; brothers, Alan and Chris Evans both of Havana, IL; significant other, Cynthia Laswell of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Margaret Evans; wife, Sherry Evans.
