It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Eugene Schafstall, 76, of North Vernon, Indiana, who left this world on November 19, 2025. Born on July 10, 1949, in Jennings County, Robert lived a life filled with laughter, love, and countless memories that will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

A dedicated family man, Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Sheila Schafstall, and their three wonderful children: William Lee (Sara Bailey) Schafstall, Isaiah Thomas (Amy) Schafstall, and Hazel (Larry) Joslin. He cherished his role as a father and took immense pride in being a grandfather to Ethan Brooks, Aiden Robnert Joslin, Ava Joslin, Robert L. Schafstall, and Christina Dawn Schafstall. He was also a loving great-grandfather to little Emmett Brooks.

Robert's warm spirit and generous heart touched all who knew him. In his professional life, Robert dedicated 28 years to Arvin - Meritor in Carrolton, KY, where he retired in 2009. Outside of work, he found joy in fast cars, go-carts, and classic automobiles. Robert was an avid fisherman who cherished the moments spent by the water, often sharing his passion with family and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Tim Poer will officiate. Interment will be in Baldwin Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Robert Eugene Schafstall will be deeply missed but will always be remembered for his kindness, passion for life, and the love he shared with his family. May he rest in peace.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Martha Losey Schafstall; brothers, William Joseph Schafstall and Donald Lee Schafstall; sister, Irene Carol Pearson; grandaughter, Zoe Love.
