Mr. Robert Raymond Sabelhaus Jr.

June 25, 1948 - November 29, 2010

Robert Raymond Sabelhaus Jr., 62, of North Vernon passed away Monday, November 29, 2010 at his residence.

Born June 25, 1948 in Tell City, Robert was the son of Robert Sr. and Belva Anthony Sabelhaus.

Mr. Sabelhaus served in the U.S. Navy then was employed in the past at Arvin Industries. He enjoyed bowling, golf, fishing and playing music. Robert was a member of the Moose, VFW, AM Vets and the American Legion of Seymour.

He is survived by two children, Kelly (Ilese) Sabelhaus and Tracy Jarrell, both of North Vernon; six grandchildren, Joshua Sabelhaus, Justin and Jessica Jarrell, Abigail, Carissa and Emily Sabelhaus, all of North Vernon; two brothers, Mark Sabelhaus of Michigan and Neil Sabelhaus of Columbus; five sisters, Barbara Lovegrove of North Vernon, Sheryl Wheeler of North Vernon, Terry Davis of Columbus, Freida Lutgring of Tell City and Cindy Hunter of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two children Danny and Robert III Sabelhaus.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral Home with the Rev. Jonathon Meyer officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wed. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
