Mr. Robert Thomas Ryan

August 10, 1941 - June 18, 2014

Robert Thomas Ryan, 72, of North Vernon passed away at 9:00 PM Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.
Born August 10, 1941 in Richmond Hill, NY, Robert was the son of the late Thomas Michael and Charlotte Marie Martin Ryan. He married Thelma Muir on September 27, 1980. She survives.
Robert retired from the US Navy in 1980, after serving his country for 21 years. He later retired from Madison State Hospital. He enjoyed airplanes, carpentry, and computers.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Ryan, a son, Charles Ryan of Columbus, and a brother, Jim Ryan of New York.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home. Deacon Larry French will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
