Robert D. Jones, 59, of Scipio passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his home.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Sawyer – Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial & military graveside rites will be at Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

Born July 15, 1958, in Columbus, Robert was the son of Daniel P. and Marie Reeves Jones. He married Susan Grabill on February 4, 1977.

Robert was a member of the National Rifle Association, enjoyed classic cars, target shooting, fishing, working on cars, and guns.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Jones of Scipio; sons, Brian Jones of Scipio, and Daniel Jones of Bloomington; sisters, Judy Davenport and Jane Wilson of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Dakota, Jonothan, and Leah Marie Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, David Jones.
