Robert J. Hoyt, 87, of Camden, OH, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 2, 2026. He was born in Jennings County on February 11, 1939, to James and Mary (Tatum) Hoyt. He married Carolyn Sue Comingore on June 5, 1960, and she precedes him in death.

Robert lived a life rich with dedication to his family, community, and the land he cherished. He enjoyed raising pigs and vegetables. Renowned for his exceptional blackberries and lettuce, Robert participated in the Jennings County Farmer's Market, where his produce was a beloved staple among neighbors and friends.
A member of Graham Baptist Church, Robert served faithfully as a deacon, embodying the spirit of service and kindness. His commitment to faith and community extended beyond the church, as he also held a position on the Jennings County Farmer's Market Board and was a Lifetime Farm Bureau Member, contributing to the agricultural dialogue and advocacy throughout his life.
He is survived by his son, Richard Hoyt of Morris, IL; daughter, Janet (Kent) Wulff of Columbia, MO; son, Thomas (Judy) Hoyt of Louisville, KY; son, Dale (Chelsea) Hoyt of Camden, OH; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers, John Hoyt and Walter Hoyt.
