Mr. Robert L. Goodpaster

Robert Leroy Goodpaster, 64, of Butlerville passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 at his residence.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, February 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Vernon Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Penegar officiating.

Born August 5, 1946 in New Castle, Robert was the son of Roger & Ruth Lewis Goodpaster. Mr. Goodpaster was a truck driver for 33 years. During his career he had driven over three million miles. He enjoyed fishing, boating & racing.
He is survived by his son, Robert Goodpaster of North Vernon; two daughters, Angie Ford of North Vernon and Rhonda James of Columbus, TX; two step-sons, Matt Schmitter of Hanover and Neal Schmitter of Butlerville; two sisters, Phyllis Smith of North Vernon and Kathy Goodpaster; a brother, Rodney Goodpaster of Seymour and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jane Padgett, and a brother, Raymond Goodpaster.
